Tuesday ride

Monday I woke up still feeling iffy, I got up at 5am and got ready for yoga, but then I didn’t feel up to it and figured an extra hour or so of sleep might be a better move for me, so I lay down on the couch and napped. Around lunchtime I was considering a swim, as per my program. The weather was perfect and I had no meetings, but still felt ordinary. I dithered, but eventually decided that a full day off training was warranted. I came home and chilled out in the park while Sarah went for a walk with our friend Sarah then made a big stir fry, read my book and went to sleep early.

I woke up this morning feeling still not 100% but much much better. Good enough to get my arse out for a Boundary Ride at least. My head felt a bit clearer and my lungs ok, but my legs were still a bit out of whack after the weekend’s 11 - 12 hours of riding and running. I found it hard to keep up the pace and was racing to play catch-up the whole way round. Still, I was happy to get out and felt ok afterwards.

Now we’ll see how HuRTS goes at lunchtime…
