This week has been much better so far, I feel like I'm almost back to normal. Not quite, but definitely a hell of a lot better than last week and finally excited about training and enjoying it again!
Sunday night was Chab's last night in Sydney so we stayed up chatting til past midnight so there was no chance of morninig excercise (I could have gotten up but I didn't want to push myself with lack of sleep just when I was starting to feel better again). Went for a great swim at the Boy Charlton outdoor pool at lunchtime with a lane to myself on a 28 degree day and loved it.
Tuesday I did an hour on the bike plugged into the turbo trainer (one-leg drills and spin drills), then at lunchtime braved the 30+ degrees stifling hot and dry weather to run pain in the domain, where I felt like I would puke after a stomach full of profiteroles and caramel slice from our morning tea with Tami. But I held it in and had a good session, although the heart rate took a long time to come back down during the cool down jog afterwards, it must have been the heat.
This morning I got back into yoga and will be resting a bit, then hopefully a morning ride and a midday swim tomorrow. Maybe even track training in the arvo if I'm feeling good, a real multisport day.
