Long weekend at Jervis

The weekend was an absolute blast! It wasn’t ideal for nutrition and sleep but you get that. Friday night we really had no dinner, just a stomach full of cheese, olives and crackers. Stayed up past midnight and was up at 6am. I did a 2 hour very slow run at about 6 – 6.30min/km pace north along the waterfront to Huskisson, then off to Woollamia and down the bushy road from there for an hour and then turned around.

Did some splashing about with dolphins (tried to surf but there was zero swell) and then some energetic bush dancing all night – and once again a dinner of crackers and cheese, a few glasses of champagne and beers and we were in bed after 1am for another 6 hours sleep.

Sunday morning I was feeling kind of rough, but went for a 20 min of jogging / sprinting on the soft sand and then another 20 minutes of swimming in the freezing, but crystal clear and beautiful bay outside our house. Back to Sydney for Richie’s wedding that night made it one more evening of drinking booze (fantastic champagne and shiraz may I add, really good stuff) and eating lightly on very rich food and getting to bed late for about 5 hours sleep.
Monday morning of the public holiday it was up at 4.30am for the big ride to Ettalong!
