Brown town

Absolutely gorgeous morninig in Sydney today, I went out for a 2 hour run and it felt great the whole way round. I was pleasantly surprised by how good my legs felt once they warmed up, even after the hard cycling and running yesterday. Did some bush running, a few hills, basically just ran at random. The only issue was when, with 15 minutes to go, I had a sudden attack of the gut cramps and an urgent toilet need.

It's crazy how you can be running along totally fine and then suddenly WHAM in one second you have to go to the toilet RIGHT NOW or you'll explode. I couldn't even keep running, I had to stop for a bit, then do a slow butt-clenching walk a few blocks until I came to a service station where I could get relief. What a nightmare. Luckily I held it together and I wasn't too late getting home for my run to work. That is just not a pleasant feeling.

But hey I managed about 20km in 2 hours and then did the 3km cool down to work, incorporating 6x 100m strides over the bridge. So very happy all in all.
