Worst morning ever!

I was up and ready to rejoin the Boundary Riders on my first serious morning ride in two months, when I noticed that all around outside was a stifling pea soup fog and drizzly rain through it. Terrible biking weather. So I thought I’ll have a half hour catnap then get up and do a 40 minute wind trainer session.

Up I got and set up the bike on the windtrainer, jumped on and before I could pedal my first revolution the piece of crap cheap windtrainer tilted to one side, let the back wheel pop out and I toppled over – reaching out for a clothes drying rack to break my fall and bending it like a pretzel on the way down. When I extricated myself from the tangle I noticed that the back wheel of the bike was completely bent. Grrrrrr!

So that’s a trip to the bike shop (or more accurately pleading for Sarah to go to the bike shop because I don’t get home from work in time) and god knows how much cash to true the wheel again.

Then I thought I have to get some exercise in this morning otherwise I’m just going to be cranky as hell. So I’ll go for a swim! Do you think I could find my speedos or goggles? Hell no, even though I tore everything out of the hall closet. I finally did find them when I had to leave for work in 10 minutes.

I’m crabby.

I've seen your protest photos Mike - did you really need speedos?

Good point mate. I was hoping the extra material would keep me warm.
