I was having a look at the calendar of races for this year and having a think about how long I'll have to train and I've decided to ditch the Port Macquarie half ironman and do the Canberra one instead. I'm just feeling that all this concentrating on running has meant I've had bugger- all riding or swimming this winter. And lets face it - it's the riding which is really my weakness. The ride leg always lets me down and I'd planned to spent all winter in the saddle, but this marathon preparation has left me barely squeezing in one ride a week as I save my legs for running.
So another month of riding prep is the least I can do for myself. I swear, once this marathon's out of the way it's all riding and swimming for the next 6 months!
