Boundary Riders!

At track last Thursday I was chatting to Sam about the riding he'd been doing lately and he told me about this group he's been riding with called the Boundary Riders.

These guys have been going for years, it's an informal group which meets up at the corner of Boundary Rd and Pacific Hwy in Chatswood at 6am on Tuesdays and Thursdays and does a fairly fast ride over the Roseville Bridge, along Warringah Road through Frenchs Forest and Beacon Hill down to Pittwater Road Brookvale, then Pittwater Road through to Manly, Balgowlah, the Spit and back along Military Road to Crows Nest in about an hour.

It sounded like a good ride and he assured me it was a nice group so on Tuesday I popped along. There were only 6 of us (apparently it's usually 15 - 20) and we copped a few minutes of rain, but otherwise it was a lovely ride and I got chatting with a few of the riders who were really nice and all in all had a good time. I left my house at 5.40 and was back at 7.15 and did almost exactly 40km at a nice pace with the only hills being Roseville Bridge and Parrawi.

I was all set to go back today, but unfortunately it was pouring rain so no go. I will be back next Tuesday though, it's great riding in a group - you are so much more confident in traffic and it's nice having to keep up with the pace of others, you push yourself a bit more.

I went to yoga this morning instead which was awesome, I think I'm addicted to anything starting to "yog"... I love yoga, yoghurt.... uh that's it for now.
