Easy day, I got to bed about 11pm Tuesday night because of a great vego (Green Gourmet) dinner with Steve & Tam and their little boy Roman just back from London for a couple of weeks, as well as Adam & Thanh. The upshot was less than 6 hours sleep before the alarm went, but I felt surprisingly ok. I had a great yoga session before work and then after work I had it in my mind to try a 15km marathon pace run home.
Unfortunately while I remembered my HRM strap and footpod, I somehow forgot to wear the watch itself, which made the rest of it kind of useless. I struggled hard with whether to do it at all, how far to go, where to run, etc. In the end I did a fairly good pace, I don’t think it was marathon pace but it was definitely less than 5 min/kms. Ran up Miller Street, onto West Street and all the way to the start of the running track that goes to Willoughby Leisure centre. It was too dark to go on the track itself so I headed back through Waverton. I was only out for an hour all up, but I guess that had to be about 12km. All very sloppy and unscientific, but it did feel good to have a bit of a run.
